Meet Weedman Design Partners

Designing Since 2003

Since 2003, we have created residential and commercial interiors rooted in clarity, function, and character. Based in Portland, we design homes, workplaces, hospitality spaces, and tenant improvement projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our work is full-service and highly collaborative, guiding each project from early ideas and construction documentation through procurement, installation, and the final layers that make a space feel complete.

Thoughtful Design, Built for Real Life

We believe the best interiors do more than look beautiful. They support the way people actually live, work, connect, and grow. They feel personal without being precious, refined without being rigid, and timeless without losing character.

Our work is shaped by balance: beauty and function, creativity and technical rigor, vision and real-world execution. Whether we are designing a private home, a workplace, or a space built for gathering, our goal is the same: to create interiors that feel grounded, memorable, and deeply connected to the people who use them.

What Sets Us Apart

Arielle and Travis Weedman,
Founders + Principals

Weedman Design Partners is led by Arielle and Travis Weedman, whose complementary strengths shape the studio’s approach. Arielle brings an artist’s eye, careful listening, and a grounded sense of what will feel authentic to each client. Travis brings conceptual thinking, direct communication, and a strong instinct for design that is both fresh and functional.

Together, they have built a studio known for interiors that feel considered, personal, and fully resolved. Clients come to WDP for design, but they stay for the relationship: honest guidance, close collaboration, and a team that knows how to turn big ideas into spaces that work in real life.

We are a boutique studio with a hands-on, highly involved approach. That means we stay close to both the creative direction and the practical decisions that shape a project from start to finish.

Our team develops concepts collaboratively, produces in-house drawings and construction documentation, coordinates with vendors and project partners, and carries the work through procurement and installation. Because we work across residential interiors, commercial environments, workplaces, and tenant improvement projects, we bring both warmth and discipline to the process. The result is thoughtful design that is not only beautiful, but buildable, functional, and aligned with how people actually use a space.

Invested in Portland

What matters to us as a studio extends beyond the spaces we design. We believe Portland is strongest when creative life, civic life, and business leadership are all invested in one another — when growth is thoughtful, opportunity is broadened, and the city’s evolution stays connected to the communities that give it character.

That commitment is reflected in how we show up beyond our work. Arielle has been a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization since 2020 and serves on the board of EO Portland. She is also a founding member of the Portland Cultural Corridor and Co-Chair of Portland Art Week. Travis serves on the Board of Directors for Friendly House.

We are proud to give our time to organizations that help support the city we call home. It is one way we stay connected to the people, ideas, and institutions shaping Portland’s future, and one way we put our values into practice through participation, civic engagement, and long-term investment in cultural and community life.

Meet The Team

WDP is a small team of designers, project leaders, and creative collaborators who care deeply about how a space looks, feels, and functions. We bring curiosity, follow-through, and a sharp eye for detail to every phase of the work, from early concepts to final installation.

Erin Ward
Interior Designer

  • Erin is an interior designer at WDP and brings a wealth of experience and a keen creative eye to our projects. Originally from Eastern Washington, Erin's background as a Project Manager and Interior Designer for a range of large-scale projects showcases her versatility and dedication to her craft. Her thorough approach and well-considered designs consistently impress, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

Beyond her professional achievements, Erin enjoys DIY projects, thrifting, crafting and exploring Portland's vibrant food scene. On the weekends you might find Erin playing with her pup or honing her Karaoke skills. As a former WSU Radio DJ, we are thrilled Erin chose the path of Interiors and to bring her talent and enthusiasm to WDP!

Procurement Manager Jennifer Judge. A woman with long dark hair, glasses, and hoop earrings, smiling and sitting at a table in a cozy living room with a mirror, fireplace, and plants in the background.

Jenn Judge
Procurement Specialist

  • Jenn is our procurement superstar with a penchant for pink and a love for all things glittery! After working at big-name companies like Nike and Microsoft, Jenn decided it was time for a change of pace – and lucky for us, she chose WDP! While she's a pro at crunching numbers and managing vendors, Jenn's fun-loving spirit shines through in everything she does. From her extensive knowledge of pop culture to her unbeatable gaming skills, she's the ultimate multitasker. So we raise our fancy glass with Jenn: the queen of spreadsheets, the party planner extraordinaire, and the epitome of smart, fun, and fabulous!

Ryan Kilgannon
Architectural Designer

  • Ryan, an architectural designer at WDP, brings excitement and versatility to our team. A New York native with roots in Raleigh, NC, Cincinnati, OH, and now thriving in Portland, Ryan is an outdoor enthusiast and a passionate car lover. He developed his love for hiking along the Hudson River Valley, particularly enjoying his favorite trail "Breakneck Ridge". During his time at NC State University studying architecture, he cultivated a fondness for contemporary design and sustainable practices, while also relishing in the beaches of the Outer Banks and indulging in Bojangles fried chicken and biscuits. His experience in Cincinnati refined his eye for detail in historic architecture and craftsmanship, complemented by his adventures along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Outside of his architectural work, Ryan finds joy in tinkering with and racing cars. We are delighted to have him as part of our team.

  • Charlie is not your average cockapoo—he's larger than life and overflowing with love. He's a real people-dog, always eager to cuddle up or chase a ball with his favorite humans. But watch out for his overenthusiastic greetings; he tends to sprinkle a little excitement when he meets new friends. Maybe Charlie Sprinkles would've been a more fitting name!

  • Meet Mr. Pickles, our pint-sized pup with a larger-than-life personality.  At first, he might seem like a spicy pickle, but once you earn his trust, he's the sweetest companion you could ask for. Whether he's enjoying some alone time or socializing with his favorite humans, Pickles keeps us guessing with his mysterious ways. Sometimes we wonder if he's our late cat Josie reincarnated—Josie, is that you?

Inside Studio WDP

Our Portland studio is designed to feel like home while functioning as a place to work. It is where we meet with clients, develop ideas, test materials, solve problems, and shape the behind-the-scenes work that makes projects successful. The space reflects how we believe good environments should feel: welcoming, layered, collaborative, and deeply lived in.

Studio WDP is also part of our larger creative life. Through events, exhibitions, and gatherings, we use the studio as a place where design, art, and community intersect. That spirit carries into our client work too. We are not just designing rooms. We are shaping experiences, relationships, and environments people genuinely want to be in.
