Flour Bloom
Flour Bloom is a bakery, café, and retail experience in Portland’s Central Eastside where disco-era sparkle meets artisan craft. Inspired by the owner’s East Coast Italian heritage and a love of eclectic vintage finds, we designed a space that feels nostalgic and fresh at the same time—bright, layered, and unapologetically fun.
A bold mural and lush greenery set the tone at the entry, while custom furniture and locally made artwork bring personality and warmth throughout. Overhead, whimsical dried-flower clouds add a dreamy note, and the front counter showcases Flour Bloom’s pastries against vibrant Fireclay tile and a custom-painted espresso machine. In back, an oversized photo booth and a fully equipped commercial kitchen support the daily rhythm of service, production, and memorable moments.
What we did: We guided Flour Bloom from concept through opening, leading space planning and finish direction, designing custom fixtures, managing procurement, and providing hands-on project management to support the pace and performance of a working bakery and café.
